Job Description:
Manufacturing company is looking for a Electrical Design Engineer in the Tulsa, OK. area. Position Summary: Design electronic circuit boards for use in oil and gas wellbore gauges that measure and record downhole pressures and temperatures. Have a high proficiency in the use of assembly and C/C++ languages in developing device firmware, firmware applications, microprocessor-based board level design. Provide senior level technical leadership, innovation and direction for new products and redesigns. Responsibilities: Design and draft complex digital and analog electronic circuitry and components for double sided, multi-layer, PTH, and SMT printed circuit boards that measure and record high pressure and temperature in oil wells. Perform sufficient testing (temperature, shake, vibration and function) of new board designs and firmware ensuring total performance of the gauge. Participate in regular design review meetings to ensure compliance with established procedures and product requirements. Requirements: BS in Electronic Engineering or equivalent years of experience. 5+ years PCB design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Crystal quartz and piezo pressure transducer technology knowledge a plus. High temp, low power crystal oscillator design also a plus. Proficient in the use of design software such as PADS or Altium. 5-10% travel, state side as well as internationally. Must be able to be certified for offshore site visits.
